Our Mission
The United Martial Arts Federation is an organization governed by the members for the members. Our mission is to bring Martial Artists together. Back in the old days the master all got together and trained. They traded and shared kata, technique and strategies. Today that has been lost.
The United Martial Arts Federation is broken up into 2 sections, the Tournament Rating Section and the Continuing Education Section.
The Tournament Rating System is just that, a system in which individuals can compete and earn points toward the end of the year hall of fame awards ceremony and banquet. Each division will award a champion and a runner up title based on divisional points.
The Continuing Education System will be a way for independent martial artists to further their knowledge and advance in rank. Our system will put the martial artist in touch with a specific instructor in an area that they wish to learn and then they will have the opportunity to train and advance in that system, with rank certification coming from the UMAF based on the instructor’s recommendation. Also just like the Tournament Rating System sponsors tournaments, the Continuing Education System will sponsor seminars with various different martial artists throughout the year.
Both the Tournament Rating System and the Continuing Education System will be managed through committees of Martial Artists that all have many years teaching and training in their individual martial art.
